Please join us on Saturday, October 2 from 11:30am-3:00pm for our first Legacy Farm fundraising event at the lovely restaurant at L'Auberge Chez Francois. We will have a delicious 8-course lunch under the outdoor tent in the restaurant garden, with socially distanced tables. Have a look here at a unique country French restaurant, celebrating its 45th Anniversary in the beautiful countryside of Great Falls. 

Musical entertainment will be provided by Brandon Hassan, professional musician and music therapist at partner organization A Place To Be, along with a small silent auction and a "Fund Legacy Farms" request. As you know, Legacy Farm is still growing and harvesting. We are supporting our two Community Supported Agriculture Programs while also developing product lines and a new herbal garden to increase sales in the coming year, providing more jobs and a breadth of opportunities for our apprentices...not just in gardening, but also in entrepreneurial projects, media design, and partner-focused garden and landscaping services.

During 2020-2021, Legacy Farms tripled in size. This year, we offered over 40 contracts to neurodivergent apprentices, expanded our mentor team, and began collecting research data on our pioneering personal development programming. Our team is stretched thin in responding to the demand for our services and the community enthusiasm for purchasing our products! Accordingly, we need to add farm management, increase Board involvement, and fundraising to support this expansion. 

All of the funds raised from this event will go toward expanding our programming, which was recognized by the Town of Leesburg as setting “a commendable example for others to reinforce the value and talent that people with disabilities add to our workplaces & the community as a whole.” And was featured on Great Day Washington’s morning show segment, Legacy Farms Sows the Seeds of Diversity and Inclusion.
